Establishment
COSCO Hong Kong was established on 28th August 1994. It is an important overseas regional headquarters and conglomerate of COSCO Group. COSCO Group started its business in Hong Kong more than 40 years ago, COSCO Hong Kong is now one of the large Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong with total assets of more than US$3 billion.

Characteristics
COSCO Hong Kong is a wholly owned subsidiary of COSCO Group and operates a few hundred subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Macau.

Structure
The main business aspects of COSCO Hong Kong include dry bulk shipping, ship trading and supplying services, coatings business, insurance brokerage, information technology, freight services, property development, property management, etc.

Management
COSCO Hong Kong's operations ride on the development strategy of COSCO Group and the corporate motto of "maximizing corporate profits, market-oriented strategy, qualified service, well-trimmed management, strong team work among staff". COSCO (H.K.) Shipping Co., Ltd., operating a major dry bulk fleet within COSCO Group, is the largest dry bulk shipping company in Hong Kong and one of the top three bulk shipping companies in the world. The management center of COSCO Shipping (Shenzhen Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd.) is the sole company within COSCO Group specializing in the operation of coastal dry bulk shipping. It is ranked one of the top two in China. COSCO International Holdings Ltd. is a Hong Kong listed company under COSCO Hong Kong. In the segment of ship trading and supplying services, the main businesses of COSCO International include ship trading, coatings business, marine insurance brokerage and marine equipment, spare parts and communication and navigation system business. One of the subsidiaries of COSCO International, COSCO International Ship Trading Co., Ltd., is a major shipbroker on the Chinese mainland and in Hong Kong, which also provides shipping related consulting services. COSCO International also develops property projects. COSCO (H.K.) Industry & Trade Holdings Ltd. is an investment holdings company under COSCO Hong Kong and manages the investment operations, both domestic and overseas, in the fields of information technology, industry and trade. COSCO Network Limited is an important part of the IT unit of COSCO Group. COSCO Network not only is devoted to achieve conformity of COSCO IT resources, but also is striving hard to expand its business scope to high-tech product R&D, manufacturing, sale and services in the international and domestic markets. COSCO (HK) Property Development Ltd. is engaged in property management, travel agency and hotel business. COSCO H.K. (Beijing) Investment Co., Ltd. manages three subsidiaries: COSCO Enterprises Co., Beijing Lucky Tower Co., Ltd. and Beijing Ocean Hotel Co., Ltd. The company's business scope covers: property management, renting, sale and repairing cars, letting of office space, hotel management, etc. Penavico (Hong Kong) Ltd. is engaged in agency business for bulk carries, general cargo ships and tankers.
COSCO Hong Kong has set up representative offices in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing.
